New Day Rising - We Cannot Know How Much Blood It Costs

Eulogy, 1998, CD, Vinyl

I don't want to talk about "emo". It's a filthy word. It's a dreadful thing now. I'd rather talk about "god". It would cause less confusion and upset. Let's just say this is an interesting record to hear where this Florida-sounding emotional metalcore of the late 90s came from. There are 73 minutes of various tracks here with different recording styles. The quality isn't great and sounds like the first Poison The Well EP. There are loud/quiet dynamics going on a lot with clean parts and distorted parts and all that kind of thing. I can't get into this right now, but I can imagine liking it if I had listened to it at the time. A lot of folks remember this band well.
