Death By Stereo - If Looks Could Kill Id Watch You Die

Indecision, 1999, CD, Vinyl

I quite like this band. When I first heard them it was like when I first heard Pennywise after listening to some more regular bands... it just seemed so much tighter and faster than I had heard before.
It's similar in a way to Pennywise musically aswell but maybe more variation across each record where they veer into metal or punk or some other influence for part of a song. Sounding like Faith No More as much as Pennywise on occasions. It's got more of a mean, nasty edge aswell because of the vocals mainly... a bit carnival or crazy even, like Voodoo Glow Skulls or some nu-metal chaos.
They have so much raw ability, it feels like they could try any metal or punk style and pull it off. Sometimes it's so angry or demented sounding but then they launch into some melodic chorus.
Really such an interesting band and one of the best releases on Indecision ( after this they got deals on Epitaph and Serjical Strike ).
