A Life Once Lost - Iron Gag

Ferret, 2007, CD, Vinyl

I really like this band. I like that kind of grooving, sludge metal that bands like Down and Corrosion Of Conformity and Crowbar made known.

It sounds quite raucous, even exuberant. Like the vocals are quite rock and roll, but I get that. It reminds me of Down in a way. You could think it's too cock rock or mainstream , but really it's not like that when I hear this band for some reason... it's just heavy and rich.

So the vocals go well with the music. I call it "groove metal" but there are other things going on, quite a lot infact, but overall it's got quite an awesome groove to it which is what a lot of bands I listen to lately don't have.

A pretty good release this for any heavy metal fans.
