Morning Again - Martyr

Good Life, 1997, CD, Vinyl

Probably in the 1400s in the British Isles some folks got together and managed to make an edifice to the gods that sounded something like this using only primitive tools. It's possible. But they were probably burned at the stake because it upset the ruling elite after they saw what effect it had on the peasants at their shows. When these souls re-incarnated, centuries later in the US, they got together again with proper equipment and finished the job. What they produced was a blast furnace of Holy Terror style metal. Completely devastating is each track with a huge sound. It sounds much more focused than most bands and the vocals are in this great rasping, sickened style. This is the peak of late 90s Florida metalcore.
