Sensefield - Building

Revelation, 1996, CD, Vinyl

This is when Revelation were releasing all kinds of non-hardcore records during the alternative rock explosion of the 90s.

Nothing is particularly bad about this record, I just don't like it. The sound is very soft and gentle but without any particularly memorable songs. It's well-written and well put together popular rock... it has nothing to do with hardcore or metal or any of those types of things. Some of it is quite, how can I say? Beautiful? It's very sweet sounding - the singer sounds like the guy from The New Radicals quite a bit.

I know they have a track on a split with One Line Drawing which is actually my favourite thing they did which sounds much better than their 2 records on Revelation.
